Description

A fascinating universe of retro-sci-fi technology and breathtaking scenery. A cast of well-developed, unforgettable characters with genuine emotional depth. A formidable villain and a terrifying monster. New and exciting ways to travel and impact the world around you, and a plot twist that no one will see coming.

These are all the elements of the game we are talking about today, and yes, it’s BioShock Infinite, the worthy successor to BioShock, one of the most well-known shooters of our generation.

BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game published by 2K Games and developed by Irrational Games. It was launched in 2013 all around the world. BioShock Infinite is the third game in the BioShock franchise.

BioShock Infinite is neither a direct sequel nor prequel to any of the other BioShock games, and it takes place in a completely different world, although sharing many of the same elements, gameplay, and ideas.

All across the game, you play as Booker Dewitt, who eventually meets up with Elizabeth. You have a combination of weapons, Gear that has specific abilities, and psychokinetic powers provided by Vigors, just like in previous BioShock games.

Elizabeth's abilities can also be employed to aid in the fight against hostile enemies. You will not have direct control over Elizabeth, and she doesn't need any protection. She can handle herself in combat, throwing ammo or useful items to you as necessary.

She may also assist you by bringing in weapons, health, Salts, environmental elements such as cover or a ledge, and automated defensive units with her Tear-opening ability. Elizabeth can also use her hairpin to pick locks and open doors or locate important things.

The openness of Columbia, in contrast to the restricted places of Rapture's underwater city, allows for more dynamic fighting, including battles on the city's Sky-Line roller coaster-like train system.

As Booker, you must battle your way around Columbia using various weapons and equipment to achieve objectives. You can only carry two guns at a time, but you can get more weapons and ammo from killed enemies or the area.

Booker is also armed with a shield in addition to his health. When the shield is broken, it regenerates after several seconds, and health may be restored with medical kits or food. If Booker dies, you will be revived in a secure place, but you will lose your money; Booker will recover a part of his health and get more ammo, while enemies will also be partially healed.

Vigors, Gears, and Infusions, which can be found around Columbia, provide you with powers and abilities. Vigors, which are similar to BioShock's Plasmids, give you active abilities like shockwaves, lightning bolts, and possession. For the powers to work, Vigors need Salt, which is the equivalent of magic points.

Passive abilities that boost your strength or damage resistance are granted through gear. Hats, Shirts, Boots, and Pants are the four slots to which a piece of Gear can be attached. Adding more than one item of Gear to a slot at a time is not possible; any additional Gear is kept in your inventory. Infusions allow the player to permanently increase their health, salts, or shield.

You and Elizabeth can locate a variety of useful items while wandering Columbia, including cash, food, medical kits, ammo, and salts.  Vending machines can be found everywhere across Columbia, and they may be accessed to purchase consumables as well as strong upgrades for weapons and Vigors.

There are also additional side missions in which the player must unlock safes or decipher secret codes; accomplishing these rewards Booker with supplies, Voxophones, and Infusion improvements.

How to play

The third game in the franchise, BioShock Infinite, takes place in the airborne city of Columbia in 1912, with the player taking on the character of Booker DeWitt, a disgraced ex-Pinkerton agent.

Booker has been tasked with locating Elizabeth, a mysterious and powerful lady who has been trapped in Columbia since birth, in order to clear his debts, and the plot follows the odd couple as they attempt to flee the flying city while uncovering its dark secrets.

Despite the fact that Booker saves Elizabeth, the two become caught in the city's feuding factions: the nativist and privileged Founders who control Columbia and seek to preserve its advantages for White Americans, and the Vox Populi, subterranean rebels who represent the city's underclass.

During this fight, Booker realizes that Elizabeth possesses the exceptional ability to influence Tears in the space-time continuum that ravages Columbia, and he quickly discovers that she is at the heart of the city's darkest secrets.

There are several choices to make, from managing your Salts to understanding which Vigor to use on which enemy, and they may potentially make or break your gameplay. So, here are some Bioshock: Infinite tips to help you explore Colombia.

Scavenging, stealing, and searching are the most vital things you can do right from the beginning of the game. Not only are Vigor upgrades as pricey as they are lethal, but you'll need that money to continuously restore your health, salts, and ammo supplies on higher levels. Always be on the lookout for coins, which can be found in garbage cans, baskets, and even on dead bodies.

When striking an enemy with a skull icon above their head, Booker's melee fatality requires you to hold the melee button pressed. It may appear to be a rough and vicious maneuver, but it's essential to start adding it into the fight regularly. Furthermore, early in the game, air attacks become accessible, this will help you save ammo when you need it most.

Since money is hard to come by, the most essential thing to know is what not to buy. Look at the Veni Vidi Vigor and Minuteman's Armory pages for the prices of Vigors and weapons. The overall expenses of maxing out a weapon or Vigor will give you an indication of how powerful they are. Some weapons and Vigors aren't worth upgrading because they're rarely used so make sure to know where you spend your money.

Because gear pickups are random every time a checkpoint loads, getting your hands on the appropriate gear might be difficult. However, if you're prepared to spend some time reloading checkpoints and re-acquiring stuff until you find something valuable, this might work in your favor.

This takes us to the end of the article for today. Please share your gaming experiences in the comments area below so that everyone can benefit and learn from them.
