Description

A story-driven open-world RPG set in the Holy Roman Empire that immerses you in an epic quest. Battle invading troops, go on game-changing adventures and make major decisions to avenge your parents' deaths. Explore medieval Bohemia's castles, woodlands, towns, and other realistic landscapes!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver co-published action role-playing video game released in 2018. With a concentration on historically accurate content, it is based in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia, an Imperial State of the Holy Roman Empire.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world action role-playing game that is played from the first-person perspective. It uses a classless role-playing system that allows you to modify your character's talents to fight as a warrior, bard, thief, or a combination of these roles.

Through branched dialogue trees, your abilities and stats evolve in response to what you do and say. The amount of time you have to make a choice during a conversation is restricted, which has an impact on your interactions with others. Your reputation is built on your decisions, and it may have serious implications.

Multiple, independent components are combined with finishing touches to make character bodies and faces. The clothing system has 16 item slots and items that may be placed on many different parts of the body. Each form of clothing offers varying amounts of protection against various weapons. Through use, clothing becomes increasingly worn, soiled, or bloodied, changing the character's look.

Swords, knives, axes, hammers, and arrows are among the weapons available for you in order to fight. Horses play an important role in the game, and they are meant to move or jump to escape tiny barriers or threats while under your control.

You can battle from a horse and utilize your mount to carry items if you need more inventory space, but warhorses are also capable fighters with their own AI. The Steed has five armor and attachment slots.

A needs system is also included in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which demands you to eat and sleep in order to remain healthy. Equipment and clothing wear out and need to be replaced. Food and other perishable products will spoil over time.

Many of these tasks, such as weapon and armor maintenance, as well as obtaining new items via picking locks or pockets, distilling alcohol, and making medicines, are accomplished through skill/stat-based mini-games.

The game employs long- and short-range weaponry in battle, with inverse kinematics used to calculate the reactions of both fighters depending on the speed and weight of a strike. This system tries to provide more diversity and realism to fighting by including a wide range of basic combat and combo moves, some of which may be unlocked with skill points.

Weapons differ in their capabilities, making them suitable for various reasons. A sword, for instance, is a swift weapon for striking and parrying, but it is ineffective against heavy armor.

Quests are designed to be nonlinear, with many approaches to fulfill objectives to accommodate a variety of character types. Major-scale events, such as castle sieges and large wars, are included in the plot.

Characters can respond to your activities and change your routines accordingly. NPCs will report crimes to authorities, who may penalize you with a fine or a period of imprisonment. Unsolved crimes will have an economic impact, and people may become suspicious or violent.

How to play

The story of Kingdom Come: Deliverance takes place in the year 1403, during King Wenceslaus IV's reign in Bohemia. Cuman mercenaries invade the mining community of Skalitz, a key source of silver, on the instructions of Hungarian king Sigismund, Wenceslaus' half-brother.

Henry, the child of a blacksmith, is one of the survivors of the ensuing massacre. Henry joins the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who heads a resistance movement against Sigismund's invasion, destitute and furious.

As Henry seeks revenge for his dead family, he becomes engaged in a campaign to restore Wenceslaus IV, Sigismund's half-brother, to the throne of Bohemia. The game offers immersive gameplay with branching quest lines, an open-world setting, and period-accurate weaponry, clothes, fighting methods, and architecture.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a fantastic, difficult, and amazing mess. There is a lot to learn here, and if you don't have a guide, the opening hours might be somewhat overwhelming. So, don't worry if you feel a little lost or stumbling at first; the tips below will help you stay on your feet.

● Get a horse

One of the first things you'll want to do is get your hands on a solid mount as soon as possible. Not only can you name them and create a deep, enduring bond with them, but they're also quite useful for exploring Kingdom Come's vast medieval world.

You won't be able to get your hands on one until later in the game, but when you do, take advantage of it; the increased mobility speed will make your life much simpler.

● Management of stamina is critical

While not as brutal as some games' stamina mechanisms, you must keep an eye on yours throughout the fight or you may be crushed.

You should keep track of more than simply your stamina. You'll discover valuable opportunities to fully lay into your opponents with your greatest combos if you pay attention to when they've exhausted theirs.

● Food is important too

Feeding Henry properly is a vital part of staying in shape when you're on the receiving end of a longsword, so keep an eye on your hunger levels and try to stick to a food that isn't entirely trash.

If you overeat, you'll acquire a status condition that limits your effectiveness; on the other hand, if you eat properly and don't go hungry or overfed for a few days, you'll gain a handy little additional perk that enhances your vitality and agility.

● Patience pays off

Kingdom Come: Deliverance begins slowly. The first area takes its time introducing you to new systems and the setting, which may be frustrating at times.

Henry is a blacksmith's son, not an experienced soldier. But hang in there, the game expands and the true open world is revealed, allowing you to explore and discover without the constraints of the prologue. And the fighting improves with time as both Henry and you, the player, have a better understanding of how it works and how to approach each fight.

● Don't forget to repair

Keep armor, blacksmith, and tailoring kits with you at all times, and be sure to repair your gear after each encounter.  Not only will this enhance your Maintenance Skill, but it will also prevent your equipment from being so damaged that it can only be repaired by a vendor, which is expensive.

If you wait until later in the game to repair your equipment, you may discover that it is too advanced for you to fix, so get in on the ground floor with your early game gear. Also, the better the condition of the equipment, the more you may get for it.

This takes us to the conclusion of today's article. Please share your gaming experiences in the comments area below so that we may all learn from them.
