Now that you know how the game works, it's time to figure out how to play Five nights at Freddy's 2. In the following sections, we will list out a series of steps that will help start with playing the game.
Step one
As a first step, you need to take care of your essentials which include three objects:
● The mask
● Flash and vent lights
● Music box
Once you are familiar with these objects, you're a head start with this game.
Step two
As a second step, you need to learn when to use your mask. Make sure your mask is employed tactically because putting it on right before the character comes before you won't do any good. In situations like these, you can try to turn the flashlight on, check the various light vents, and tweak it around your music box.
Also, remember that Foxy is the only character that you can't hurt with the mask and would require additional flashlights. For the other characters, however, you need to make sure the mask is on before you meet them. Unless you do this, they will continue to weirdly pop up on your screen.
Step three
For the third step, we recommend taking notes about Foxy so that you know they are not fooling you. Remember, you need to turn the flashlight on Foxy five times in a row for the character to disappear. Unless you do this, they can still be lurking around in the hallway while you are busy doing something else. So, if you do not want Foxy to reappear, try to get rid of them at the first shot by turning the flashlight on for the required number of times in succession.
Step four
The fourth step involves tweaking your music box or winding it so that the puppet character doesn't come out from it. Depending on your other chores and challenges for the night, the puppet may descend sooner or later. Even though the puppet may not appear unnerving at the outset, it is yet another character that is determined to kill you. That is why you need to keep the music on at all times to ensure that the character doesn't pop out and you make it through the night hail and hearty.
Step five
You should also take note of another infamous character, namely, the Balloon Boy. Even though they wouldn't scare you all of a sudden, the character can get quite annoying as you are one of your quests to complete your final nights. Because the Balloon boy is notorious for tearing down vents and destroying flashlights, we recommend wearing your mask before you set out on a mission to fight them off.
Finally, you should also ensure that you do not spend unnecessary time with the cameras you don't need. Only focus on the final camera that's almost at the end of the game and you're all set for the challenges that lie ahead.
