This can be frustrating, as building up a team will require lots of time, energy, and sometimes real-life money. It's not necessarily a good feeling to walk away at the end of a year and have to start over.

Once you've run out of energy, assess your resources, see if it's worth spending anything in the shop, and then log off. As a brand new player, you're going to want to rely heavily on the game's Legendary Player system. You can create your own custom 5-star baseball player and slam him in your lineup very early on in the game. This is a great help at first, as you won't have a lot of other strong players to put in your dugout. Your Legendary Player should be a balanced-type player and should occupy the Homerun King slot on your roster for the first section of your MLB Tap Sports Baseball journey. He'll put in lots of work and carry you to victory.
When you've run out of bonus games, one of the best ways to get more is to play games of walk-off hero, ideally in events. This game mode takes just a few seconds to complete, allowing you to complete four or five games in just a few minutes. By the time you're done, you'll have likely gotten a bonus game or two that you can play to give yourself more of the good daily rewards.
As far as drafting players goes, remember that "drafting" is a misnomer. Instead of actually getting to select a player from a lineup, draft picks in this game are just gacha pulls.
