Description

In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, relive Goku's tale! Beyond the great fights, fight, fish, eat, and train alongside Goku to get a taste of life in the Dragon Ball Z universe. As you go through the game, you'll discover new regions and experiences, as well as build powerful ties with other Dragon Ball Z characters.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an open-world action role-playing game based on the Dragon Ball series, developed by CyberConnect2 and released by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game follows Goku and the Z-Fighters through several events of the Dragon Ball Z anime series, including anime-exclusive plots and moments.

The game is a fighting RPG in the genre of Dragon Ball Xenoverse and its sequel. While the game is described as an open world, it is not totally seamless since the landscapes are separated into separate hubs that are restricted until specific points in the storyline are reached. These places are big and could be traveled by air or vehicle.

Enemies are spread over the map, and if you're caught, they'll try to attack you. Various friendly NPCs may be found all across the world, whether in towns, villages, or isolated areas. Fishing and baseball are two of the mini-games available.

There are four narratives in the game: the Saiyan Saga, the Namek Saga, the Android Saga, and the Buu Saga. Intermissions are brief periods of free time in the main plot between sagas. You have more flexibility to explore, train, and finish side storylines. It's also a good time to start planning for the next Saga. You may also alter your controlled character and their supporting players.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot currently has seven playable characters that you will control throughout the adventure. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Gotenks, and Vegito are among them. You'll unlock additional characters to play as you advance through the game.

In addition to the main characters, you will also be able to choose between two secondary supporting characters, each with their own unique techniques, to assist you in your battle.

Additionally, the game has a Cooking mechanism that allows you to prepare meals that can increase stats permanently or provide temporary bonuses. You can consume raw foods, cook food over a campfire, or hire a cook to make meals for you.

Characters can use Training Grounds to engage in Mental Simulation Training against mental images of various competitors in order to acquire Super Attacks. To participate in Mental Simulation Training, D-Medals are necessary as payment. Training Grounds are the only way to unlock some Super Attacks.

Once the Skill Tree and any other conditions for accessing the activity are met, D-Medals are needed to enter training exercises in the Training Grounds. D-Medals can be found in the world or earned as a reward for completing main missions, side missions, Turtle School Training Manual tasks, and unlocking a particular amount of Z-Encyclopedia Entries.

Each exercise costs a specific amount of D-Medals, so collecting them anytime you see one in the field is a smart idea. D-Medals must be manually picked up in the field by clicking the Examine button.

How to play

The main plot of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot follows the events of the Raditz Saga all the way to the end of the Dragon Ball Z Kid Buu Saga.

Following the Buu Saga, there is an original storyline that serves as a prequel to the events of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, as it focuses on Towa's rebuilding of Mira after he was reduced to his core following his defeat by the Time Patrol in Age 774, as well as Mira's previously unseen confrontation with the Z Warriors shortly after Kid Buu's defeat in the main timeline of Kakarot. The events of this game take place in a different timeline from those in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, while Towa and Mira feature in both games.

The game is split into episodes, each of which corresponds to a series of events. On Earth, you'll confront the Saiyans (Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta), travel to Namek (Frieza, Ginyu Force), and take part in the Future Trunks Saga (Mecha Frieza, King Cold), Android Saga (C 17, C18, Cell), and Buu Saga (Babidi, Dabura, Buu). In addition, there are a few mini-stories in the game that you may complete in your spare time. You can also choose between practicing and doing side missions.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a tough game. Part of this is due to the fact that the game throws a lot of features at you without doing a good job of explaining them. So, if you're a die-hard Dragon Ball Z fan who wants to learn everything there is to know about the game, or maybe just a newcomer who started with this one, here are some tips to help you out in your mission to help Goku rescue the universe.

● Collect every orb you come across

The enormous amount of collectible orbs of various colors is one of the first things you'll notice in the universe of Dragonball Z: Kakarot. Fortunately, all you have to do is hold the left stick down to speed across the area and gather them.

The different orbs represent the many locations where they can be found. Any bodies of water are blue, any flora and fields are green, and any barren soil is red. A rainbow orb can also be found, which may initiate a timed event that generates even more orbs. These orbs will let you upgrade your character's powers via the character menu.

● Do side quests

The sidequests in Dragonball Z: Kakarot aren't particularly interesting, but they can earn you important stuff like recipes, consumables, and giftable that can help you level up your communities.

You can easily locate them on the map by searching for a blue exclamation mark, and you'll frequently find that they're from some known Dragonball characters, so explore a little more if you really want to uncover some minor cameos that will make you smile.

● Items should not be overlooked

Bosses, in particular, have long health bars, and even if you've been deflecting strikes when you can, these drawn-out encounters will frequently leave you with little health.

It is advised that you go into the menus and equip health curatives to your bar so that you may use them in combat before entering a battle or approaching what you believe to be a story-significant fight. This is often ignored and barely described in the game, so make sure to utilize these restoratives as needed.

● Don't forget about the community

In the game, the community system is not well explained. You'll earn a passive boost if you level up your community, which you may achieve by completing a side quest or meeting a character in the game. These bonuses can range from stronger cooking buffs to encountering rare creatures in the overworld.

You may also offer presents to the characters in these communities, which you can get via side tasks, to help them level up. Don't overlook these, since there is a distinct value to keeping them up to date.
