Play Flo in Cooking Dash, where you test your focus and response time by becoming a reality television chef.
Every time you start a level, you will notice that there are lights that draw apart to reveal a cooking stage. There is a male chef in the middle, holding a knife. Flo is the one who will be running around grabbing food to cook and serve. The chef helps with the chopping and guiding you in the game. First you meet Weldon Brownie, the host of the reality television restaurant. Your job is to make customers happy and earn money. The theme songs in the game have audience cheering and the background song of a game show. Then you see which restaurant you are at: Table Steaks, along with the status of the place.
The first few levels teach you how to play. The chef in the middle will walk you through the steps that you need to take. When you start, you will hear the noise of the crew going into place and the music changing. You are given a timer and the amount of coins you need to earn to pass the level. You will earn extra coins when you pass the level; if you earn 5 stars, you will have an extra reward but only once. There are 15 levels per season of the game show and there are 3 seasons per restaurant. To get to the series finale, you must have at least 4 starts in every episode. While it seems easy initially, the orders become more complicated and you may have to juggle going back and forth to get the orders right. There is a time limit for you to serve customers and earn money. On the left corner is the amount of customers you have to serve for you to achieve your target.
To play each level, you need 10 supplies. The bags of food will replenish after a while or when you level up. You can earn gold bars by connecting your game to a social media account or getting 5 stars. A happy customer will pay you coins. You will see a heart as they leave extra coins behind to show that they are happy with your service. If you make a VIP happy, you will be given a star, which is fame to become more famous, because it is a reality show. With the coins, you can upgrade appliances, food or decor. You can upgrade your appliances 6 times; food 3 times and decor 3 times (except the walls). Upgrading your appliances makes the cooking speed faster. You can earn more coins per portion by upgrading your food. Decors keep people happy longer, so it is a helpful upgrade if you can spare the coin.
When a customer first arrives, there is a green bar on the side. Your job is to make sure the customer stays happy by serving the correct meal in the shortest time. As there are more customers arriving, remember whose order is first so that you do not end up with angry customer who will leave. Make sure the meter does not turn red because that is when customers leave and you lose money.

If you are struggling with the game at the start, focus on the easier levels to earn coins. Use the coins to upgrade food and appliances as you familiarise yourself. When you go up to level 6, you first gain the Prep Kitchen boost, which prepares Prep Recipes like Tomato Soup. Some VIP customers like Prep recipes, and that will earn tips and fame, sometimes gold and supplies. In Cooking Dash, you have normal customers, Super Customers and VIPs. Super Customers give more coins per serve than normal customers, and they may appear less. VIP customers appear less and tend to have less patience. If you see a VIP customer, be sure to serve them first.
To keep customers happy, you can serve them on a first come first serve basis. However, at a busy time, you can plan it out by serving coffee to those who order to put their waiting meter back up. Once you unlock the warming plate, use them to your benefit by warming food that cooks the longest. Broccoli and potato needs to be cut, so make sure to pre-cut them, and only cook them when there is an order. Do not cook food in anticipation, because if your hands can get full.
Food can get burnt if you leave them on the grill or fryer. Flo cannot pick more food up or combine them if there is no customer order. When you burn the food, you will have to discard them in the bin in the right corner. There is a penalty for throwing food away, and you will only anger the customers because you wasted time. Use the warming plate when you unlock it and consider upgrading it if you have gold. Fast Flo boost makes Flo run faster. Some events will allow this booster for free, or buy it with gold. If you are struggling with a level, this booster may be able to help you zoom through it.
You can earn extra supplies, gold and coins by gaining trophies. You can see events that are happening and the trophies you can collect via the little trophy icon next to your level bar. Your star fame meter will show up at the end of season one, and happy VIP customers may drop stars. When the customers pay you, you must tap on the coins to collect them and allow the next customer to take a seat. If not, the seat may not fill and you will run out of time before earning the target amount.
When you gain enough fame, you unlock Auto Chef and tokens. Auto Chefs are expensive to buy with gold, but they are very useful at hard levels. You can have an auto chef prepare and prep your meals. Some will even auto-serve appetisers for you, allowing you some breathing space. Some chefs will upgrade your appliances. There are auto chefs in each venue, and you can use them in Special Shows to help you. Because they are expensive, winning Trial of Style milestones and getting the chance to earn Auto chef token is a good way to employ one of these valuable helpers in the game.
Cooking Dash gives you a taste of how it feels running a cooking show on television. Even though you may never have to wash up in Cooking Dash, you still have to prep and cook your way into your customer's heart, and slow service will only anger them.
